New York City!

In September, I went to NYC with a friend for the first time. I've been wanting to go my entire life, and it finally happened! The Citigroup Center (in the picture to the right), the Empire State Bldg., and the old Woolworth Bldg. were my favorite skyscrapers. I took many pictures of them, especially from the open top of the Rockefeller center.

We stayed in the POD hotel in Manhattan which was pretty cool. The room was really tiny, AND we had bunk beds. But it was clean and not noisy at all. On the first night, we went to Times Square at 1am. There were so many lights that it looked like daytime, and there were hundreds of people there. I stopped in Virgin Records for a little bit, but then it started to rain... So we went back home in a taxi (my first taxi ride ever!).

We stayed for about 4 days, so I got to see almost everything on my list: Museum of Natural History, visited the edge of Central Park, ate delicious macaroni & cheese at Sarita's, went to an observation deck, rode the subway, saw Ground Zero, visited Times Square, rode the Staten Island Ferry, took a tour of the UN. The hardest part of the vacation was walking all the way across the Brooklyn Bridge. It reminded me that I need to get in better shape! But you get great views from Brooklyn, and we stopped there for some pizza before coming back to Manhattan.

I had an awesome time, but now I want to go back even more! Next time I want to see Peter Rauhofer play live, go to the top of the Empire State Building, visit more of Central Park, and check out all the cool stores and neighborhoods in the boroughs. Have you ever been to NYC? What do you think about living there? Leave me a comment, and let me know your thoughts.

New Website!

Welcome to the new and improved redmissionmusic.com! It's been a long time, but my new site is finally here. What do you think? I'm integrating a blogger.com blog into my ASP.NET pages, and I have a flash music player on the top of my home page.
